Please join me in welcoming our full time intern from the University of North Florida!

Hillary Pearson has been with us just a short time but she has already made a huge impact on the success of our children. She has started teaching lessons daily, created two bulletin boards, started a reading group, a vocabulary group and is planning her first full day of teaching this week!

I am so thankful for the opportunity to share our sweet school and your amazing kids with her so she can take what she learns and implement it in her classroom next year!

So excited to announce that the implementation of our Donor's Choose Items has been a huge success!

The kids have been able to try each seat and choose where they work best.

Ask your child what seat he/she likes the best.

Our trip to the Marine Science Center was a huge success! Mr. Viers always helps the kids understand what they will be learning about and observing! There is nothing like hands on learning!

Response Format

We are in full swing with our class novel, Esperanza Rising, so I wanted to share some of the strategies we use in class when writing to the text. Your child has been taught the RACE format this year to help them self evaluate and answer the questions completely. Please ask them to explain this strategy and use it to guide their answers.

C- Cite Evidence from the Text

E- Explain How Your Evidence Supports Your Answer
